Trident Agra is built around its own interior gardens, fountains and landscaped courtyards on Fatehabad Road, Agra's hotel strip, with the Taj Mahal's East Gate about ten minutes away by car and a kilometre and a half on the map.
It makes no claim to a Taj view and is the better for it: a hundred and thirty-five rooms facing inward onto garden and pool, run by EIH Associated Hotels within the Oberoi Group, and the sensible choice when Amarvilas is full or not the right spend.
Why We Place Guests Here
- Oberoi Group service at a tier below Amarvilas — the standard holds, the bill does not.
- The inward-facing garden plan keeps Fatehabad Road out, which matters more in Agra than almost anywhere.
- Premier Garden View rooms have private patios onto the courtyards, which is where breakfast belongs before a dawn run to the Taj.
The Table
- The Restaurant — Indian, Continental, Asian and Italian
- The Bar
The Elevated India Signature
A pre-dawn departure arranged the night before, so the Taj is reached as the gates open.
Questions, Answered
How far is Trident Agra from the Taj Mahal?
About 1.5 km from the East Gate, roughly ten minutes by car. There is no Taj view from the property.
Trident Agra or The Oberoi Amarvilas?
Amarvilas is the Taj view from every room and the greater occasion. Trident is the same group's quieter garden hotel on the same road. Elevated India uses Amarvilas where the view is the point and Trident where the Agra night is simply a night.
