Day 1 | Delhi

Land in Delhi and meet the photographer-guide who travels with you throughout — a working professional who knows the light, the angles and the permissions. Over dinner, the two of you walk through the route frame by frame: what you want to make, and where each picture is waiting.

Bring half the gear you think you need. India rewards one camera, two lenses and fast feet — everything else stays in the vehicle with your chauffeur.

Agra

Day 3 | Agra

Drive to Agra for the picture that started it all — but not the postcard. Sunset from Mehtab Bagh across the river, reflections in the Yamuna shallows; tomorrow, dawn inside the gates before the day's first tour bus. Your permits cover a tripod where tripods rarely go.

Jodhpur

Day 6 | Jodhpur

The drive west ends on a rooftop inside the old city, Mehrangarh filling the sky. Blue hour is literal here: indigo lanes stepping down the hill, kites overhead, the fort's ramparts floodlit as the muezzin's call crosses the rooftops. Your terrace is the tripod position.

Jodhpur

Day 7 | Jodhpur

Inside Mehrangarh with the museum's blessing: palanquins, filigreed windows and courtyards before visitors arrive. Then the geometric plunge of Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell, and an afternoon in the Bishnoi scrub where blackbuck stand against khejri trees like a woodcut.

Jaisalmer

Day 9 | Jaisalmer

A day for the desert: khuri dunes rippling to the horizon, camel trains on the ridge line at sunset, and then the reason we kept you two nights — astrophotography under some of India's darkest skies, the fort a faint gold smudge on the horizon and the Milky Way overhead.
