Day 1 | Delhi — Board at Safdarjung
Check-in opens at Safdarjung Station at four in the afternoon: red carpet, garlands, shehnai, and a welcome drink in the bar while your steward shows you the cabin. The Palace on Wheels pulls out for Jaipur at half past six. Dinner is served aboard in one of the two restaurant cars as Rajasthan begins.

The train leaves from Safdarjung, not New Delhi station — a small colonial-era terminus, which is precisely why the send-off feels private.
The curator's advisory, daily highlights and optional experiences for this day are shared privately — tap Hidden Gems above.
